The 2016 United States general elections experience a different type of coverage. The evolution of new media production over the past four years has changed. Social media now allows us to consume content in real time, as well as let’s the average citizen to take control of the story. This new media era not only changes the narrative, but to an extent erases the idea of non-partisan reporting. Information in this new era of media is more emotionally driven.
