Bio

Shannon “Hollywood Kid” Crawford is a native of Asbury Park, NJ. He received his diploma from Sprayberry High School in Marietta, GA before graduating Magna Cum Laude from Morehouse College, with a B.A. in Political Science. Shannon has always had a passion for equality and justice, and upon graduation, he continued his education at The University of Georgia School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate. Shortly after finishing law school, however, Shannon became associated with the legendary And1 Streetball Team, and ultimately helped pioneer Urban Visionaries’ Killer Krossover Tour, which featured Hot Sauce, The Professor, Escalade and many of the original Streetball innovators.

Shannon left the Tour and began his acting career after being personally selected as a stand-in/photo double for actor, Shemar Moore, in the motion picture, “Motives.” While working on the set, this young superstar realized he had a new passion – to entertain in front of the camera. Shannon continued to gain experience and cultivate his talents in other productions, gaining due attention for his natural gifts. He landed the lead role in the DVD drama series, “The Closet,” which was also aired on television in 2005. Shannon’s note-worthy performance in that series, lead the producers to cast him in “Secrets,” a new television drama series scheduled to air Winter 2012.

While pursuing acting endeavors, Shannon was again called upon; this time, by singer/songwriter, Shamora. Shannon was instrumental in the success of Shamora’s critically acclaimed sophomore album, “Substance Abuse.” He even appeared in her theatrical production of “Substance Abuse.” Shannon also successfully initiated a campaign to “brand” Shamora’s record label, Striker Records, Inc. As a result of his innovative and impressive efforts with Shamora and Striker Records, Shannon developed relationships with many of Atlanta’s rising stars, and established himself as an influential personality in Atlanta’s hip hop community.

In 2011, Shannon launched Hollywood Kid Entertainment Group (HKEG), a full service company specializing in all areas of entertainment, including artist management & development, marketing & promotions (brand & internet), business consulting and video services, to name a few. He founded ATL Indy TV in conjunction with HKEG, which is known for its exclusive live footage of Atlanta’s premier independent talent. Currently, Shannon manages two blossoming entertainers under HKEG, and he is working on several joint ventures that are sure to solidify his place as a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry.
